Episodic Game Prequels Upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures' Film Based on DC Comics' Award-Winning Graphic Novel

game captures the action and intrigue of the "Watchmen" feature film, directed by Zack Snyder, who previously helmed the blockbuster "300." The screenplay for "Watchmen" is by David Hayter and Alex Tse, based on the award-winning graphic novel illustrated by Dave Gibbons and published by DC Comics. The film is produced by Lawrence Gordon ("Die Hard"), Lloyd Levin ("United 93") and Deborah Snyder ("300"), with Herbert W. Gains ("The Brave One") and Thomas Tull ("The Dark Knight") serving as executive producers. "Watchmen" is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures in association with Legendary Pictures.

Warner Bros. unveiled its highly-anticipated trailer of the 2009 film The Watchmen in theatres, as well as at the Comic-Con this week. Also, the studio releases photos of the ground-breaking film, which is based on one of the most popular graphic novels.
Digital Journal -- It won't be out until March 2009, but Warner Bros' Watchmen is already enjoying some 2008 hype. Its trailer has been enjoying impressive buzz for those who saw The Dark Knight this past week. Also, the comic-book convention Comic-Con will showcase the trailer this week in San Diego.

1Up has an exclusive first look at Watchmen, the upcoming videogame prequel to the ground-breaking 12-issue comic book series and movie adaptation.
Coming from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but in an unusual move, it will ship in downloadable episodic format via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and an undetermined PC digital distribution method. The game will take place several years before the events chronicled in theWatchmen comics, when protagonists Rorschach and Nite Owl are younger and better able to handle the punishing demands of crime fighting. The game can be played in either single-player
