RENTON, Wash. - You know times are desperate in Seattle when coach Mike Holmgren says he might lean more on his defense and running game to turn around a 1-3 season.
Surely the Seahawks should leave no stone unturned to avoid falling to 1-4 with a loss Sunday to Green Bay (2-3) at Qwest Field. And right now, Holmgren, arguably the greatest director of the West Coast offense's intricate passing game since the late Bill Walsh, is more than displeased with his offense, especially the passing game.
