Weather conditions on South Padre Island have significantly improved with Hurricane Dolly moving out of the area. However, wind conditions remain strong and scattered storms remain.
South Padre Island has significant flooding, damage to various structures and scattered debris. The Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge remains closed until opened by the Texas Department of Transportation. The Island remains without power, and residents and visitors are still urged to remain indoors.
